ebay purchase
I was on ebay the other day and came across a new fuel tank for the 78. I was going to get the old one cleaned and coated but for a few bucks more I can get a new one. I talked to the guy on the phone yesterday and he can get the tank here for $160.00 total. So keep your finger crossed hope it turns out alright.

I have three fuel filters on right now in an attempt to keep the carb clean. Every time I have taken the carb off to clean it I add a fuel filter. Since the last cleaning I haven't had any trouble. Fuel tank for the 78 at York Auto was $259.00. I was surprised to learn that the sending unit was more than the fuel tank, at the ebay store anyways. I didn't check here though.

I just checked my sources. Sadly my price guide is 6 years old. Time to get a new one. 6 years ago a rear tank my cost was $157.14 It would be close to 200 today.
If I knew you needed a tank I already had some off a truck here when you came up. They would of just needed to be steamed cleaned. I kept them stored with the openings downward to keep moisture out.
