A friend just bought a 92 XLT extended cab. It apparently has buckets in it now and he is looking to go with a split bench. I assume 92 and earlier benchs should be a direct bolt in, but could he go with newer if that's all we can find in the local yards, my thinking is yes but wanted to get the experts opions first. thanks
yep, you can fit seats out of the same model ranger or explorer. (even tho an explorer never had a bench). Most users are going the opposite way (bench to buckets)
Why go from buckets to a bench? How is your friend going to make much use of the storage area in the cab? It seems to me keeping the buckets makes more sense.
