Check that VIN again, something doesn't jive.
There's no 0 for an assembly plant code (could be a D - Dallas Texas Assembly Plant), and the last 6 digits (of the serial number) are wrong for the timeframe.
4th digit: C = 292 2V
E50572 = 1969 = no 292's after 1964.

No wonder I couldn't figure this VIN and the other codes out.

Doing this scheiss for over 35 yrs would make a saint grumpy.
Old grumpy SOB decoded the whole tamale over in t'other forum for 'ya.
