Well some low life P.O.S. decided that they were entitled to my truck.
I was gone to work in North Eastern B.C. for the last week and when I returned to the Edmonton international airport today, I was shocked and heart broken when I realized my truck was not where I left it.
I called the police and after the cop took my statement, he told me that the Edmonton city police had run my plate yesterday for some reason, but since it wasn't reported stolen until today nothing was done.
The thing that angers me the most is the fact that my truck was a reliable '03 6.0L with low mileage. The best I can hope for now is that the *#@*er that took it will get caught and maybe resist arrest As much as I love my truck, I'm not really sure if I want it back...
Not looking for sympathy, just need to rant to those who love their trucks as much as we do.
Sorry man, hopefully we will see him on COPS with a pair of Taser leads stuck in him and a cop yelling "quit resisting"... not quite just retribution, but it would be a good start. Tim

Reason: left out a word
It's hard to believe it's still in the same area. I can understand your feelings on this. Just to be on the safe side, if you have a garage door opener that was in the truck you might want to change the code on your opener.
I hope this works out for the best, but like you I don't know if that means getting the truck back or getting an insurance check. Here's hoping they catch the idiot that stole it.
Since they ran the plate, couldn't they tell you where it was when the officer ran it? They MUST have had a reason to do so and the police keep a record of those things, I believe.

They should. All transmissions between officers and cruisers are recorded. If using computer systems in the cars, that is also recorded when something is ran...plates, liceses etc. The least they could do is tell you where it was at the time.
