Well, after 30 years in the US Postal Service as a Letter Carrier, I am going to retire! Been in the same small town on the same route for 30 years; going to miss all my co-workers and the people I deliver to as for many of them I have been their mailman for 30 years! But it is time to do what I want to do, and sit inside and watch it rain! Am 58 and looking ahead to travel, hobbies, and some part time work. It's official May 1st.!
Wow!!!!!
Congratulations on your retirement!!!!!!!!!!!
30 years with the Postal Service, on the same route. A milestone to be proud of!!!
Congratulations, Sir. From now on, every day is Saturday.
I'm closing in 27 years with the same company. I don't want to wish my life away but at 30 years I'm pulling the plug and taking a long drive, regardless of fuel prices.
Congrats on your retirement, and hope you have many years to enjoy it. I'd like to retire someday, but I'm doubting that will ever happen unless I hit the lottery.
As for my town job... hey, I'd quit that if I won free fries at McDonald's.
Seriously, congratulations, and thanks for the time you put in.
Congrats on the retirement. Hope that it is a long and enjoyable time. I'm still a few years away from it, especially with the downside of my 401 lately, but hopefully in about another 4 years I can join the retired ranks.
Think that I will still work part time after taking some time off and probably about the time the wife says to get out her way.
I retired over a decade ago and love it. I went to bed at 2:00AM, got up at 11:00, had a great breakfast/lunch and out to the garage to work on my latest project. ENJOY!
