Hey guys im going to be replacing the tires on my 2000 Expedition 4x4 and was looking at BFG's Rugged trail and now im looking at the Bridgestone Dueler Revos. I just cam back from looking at Bridgestone Dueler Revos at the dealer and their made in Japan, the Bridgestone Dueler A/T with UNI-T are USA made. I dont really want to buy tires made in Japan eventhough the Revos are better tires. What do you think?
So now should I get BFG's Rugged Trail or Bridgestone Dueler A/T with UNI-T?
Thanks again ~Gage~
Since I don't know a thing about the BFG Rugged tire, I cannot tell you which to buy, but can only share my past experiences.
Prior to my BFG AT's, I had the original Bridgestone Dueler AT's. They were a great tire and much tamer than the BFG's, but they didn't last nearly as long (~40K miles compared to 55K miles). Once the Revos came out seven or so years ago, everybody jumped on the bandwagon and their prices shot sky high. I "hear" that the Revo is an exceptional tire, but don't know firsthand.
Ya I dont know what to get I like BFG's but than I like Bridgestone.
Are Bridgestone tires junk?
Also whats the difference between P265/70/R17 and LT265/70/R17?
Thanks ~Gage~
If you haul or tow a lot of heavy loads then it might not be a bad idea, but if not it's just going to make for a stiffer ride for you with no real benefit.
if you do a search on P vs LT on here you'll come up with lots of previous discussions on the subject.
iv'e got those BFG's and i like them...nice on hwy and was good on the snow for the last 4 months.... haven't been in the mud so i can't talk about that yet....
With respect to P or LT, think of one (P) as a car tire and the other (LT) as a truck tire. So ask yourself what do you use your Expy for? Hauling kids to soccer and driving to work or do you use it as a truck to offroad, tow, etc.? I live in the country and routinely drive over thorny bushes, cactus, and the like, plus tow an 18' trailer so the decision was very easy for me. Also, LT's typically look better on these trucks, especially the 4x's.
Buzzard, whats a good price for the LT265/70/R17 Bridgestone Dueler A/Ts?
The Revos where just under $800 with everything, but they were P265/70/R17.
thanks ~Gage~
