Spring Maintenance...
-- buy a can of MAF cleaner and clean the MAF.
-- change out the Oxygen sensors with new Bosch units.
-- with the PCM reset, I'll run a full "drive cycle".
-- lube & oil change. (Mobil1)
-- get the X NYS inspected.
Then the real fun begins... MORE MODS!!!
-- install RAS (drive it a bit to evaluate the mod.)
-- mount the OEM 2008 Super Duty 20's.
-- put on the 2008 Super Duty King Ranch rear bumper.
-- fab on (Monsta's way) the 3 third row headrests.
-- install LANDYOTS Radius Rods. (waiting for these babies...soon!!)
(I'm going to keep the Cryo Power Slots & Hawks in the basement until a brake job is necessary)
And all this must be somehow be completed between...

-- Little League (son #1)
-- Coaches Pitch (son #2)
-- Tee Ball (son 3#)
Luckly, next week we're all off school for our "Spring Break". Wifepoo is a teacher too.
It's going to be a busy week... I'm going to have to come back to work for a rest!!
The ABS I am fighting. I wanted to wait until after talking to the dealer to see what they would do to appease me (answer: nothing) on the off chance that they would actually try to treat me like a customer. I am going to bite the bullet and order a new computer and valving module thing (need to find out first if it's sold as one unit or two, my guess is two) and just change the two out, then bleed the system and make sure it's got all new fluid in it. That will shotgun it and should then last me until I get rid of the truck. It won't be cheap, but at least I will know it is done right. I am somewhat tempted to just replace the computer, but if there was a problem inside the valving module thing that shorted out the computer, I do not want to put a new computer in and have it then die on me, so I think it makes sense to just do both.
The Check Engine light I have a feeling will be a bigger issue, as the O2 sensors did not solve the problem. Unless there is a blown fuse somewhere for the O2 sensor heater circuit (and I checked all the fuses in the power junction box and the under-dash fuse panel), I fear this may be the computer, but I need to finish diagnosing. The ABS is the bigger issue, so I am going to take care of that first.
The good part about all of this is that these are failures that do not prevent me from driving the truck (nor have I actually noticed any difference by having them), they are just annoyances. The truck still works great, as evidenced by yesterday's use of yard work through the yard/mud.
The cranking amps are simply amazing! If I had to describe it in 10 words or
less , it feels like the motor is turning 2,500 rpms just while starting.
