I am doing a 20x10 wheel with 38x13.50 toyo open country M/T
So if I want it to stick out and no rub I am better off going with the -18 offset abd the 4.79 b.s the -12 offset with the 5.03 b.s will rub the leaf spring more and stick out less?
If someone doesnt mind me asking here since we are on the subject, what are the bs/offset on the stock wheels? are the 08's different than the 05's & ^? Looking at possibly getting an 08 with 16's, or looking for a used truck 05 and newer, and would like a reference to compare how much the wheels will stick out.
Is there any issues with excess bearing wear or vibration with too little back space? Or I'm guessing they dont make a wheel that far out.

05-08, smallest stock wheel you can get is a 17".
Some aftermarket 17s fit, and others hit the calipers.
Backspacing on the stock 05-08 wheels is ~6.0" (slightly less on the 17s).
You can run a 4.5" Backspace wheel on the 05-08s, they just stick out a good amount in a 10" width.
And yes, the wider the wheel and the less the backspacing is, the more stress is placed on the front end components.
I run 18x8.5s on my 07 with 5.14" Back Space and they stick out 1.25" over stock, which gives it a nice stance.

I am running a factory 18X8 wheel that has a 0.25"/6.35mm offset (4.75" backspacing) with a 35X12.50R18 (12.8" actual width) tire and I have slight rubbing on the leafs. I would need a wheel with no more than 4.50" backspacing to completely clear the leafs. I highly doubt that a 13.50" tire is going to clear the leafs using a wheel with 4.79" backspacing let alone a wheel with 5.03" backspacing.
