I have a 95 f-150 2wd. I would like to flip the front I-beams but a couple of the guys and myself disagree on weather or not it will lower or raise the front end. I would like to lower so that's what I'm going for . any suggestions would be appreciated.
It would raise the front end. The center of the spindle is higher than the lower pivot point as it sits. Your pivot angles would be wrong as well.
Hold your hand horizontaly in front front of you, looking at your palm. Think of your thumb as the spindle. Now flip it over. The spindle will get closer to the ground, the truck further away from the ground.
Thanks, that helps a lot. since you are on a ball can you change the place of the spindle by sitting it on top of the the i beam hook up ( in theory flipping the ball joints like on the older foreign models ie.mazda, toyota).

The only way to properly lower our trucks is w/ lowered Ibeams. I used DJM dream beams for a 3" drop in front, belltech hanger/ shackle kit in rear for 4". Truck still is useable for towing & hauling. If that isn't enough do a flip kit for the rear(which is easier & cheaper to install) You don't need to C-notch frame just remove factory bumpstop & replace with smaller 1. Buy the best quality shocks possible(either Toxic or Bilstein).
Alright that's cool. I have heard that the new dream beams were bending on people or did they get that worked out. I had looked into them with my 79 ford but reports stated they were weak and not for daily use. I would like something that can still take a beating.

I think that the bending part was a rumor starter by DJMs competition to sell more of their Ibeams. They are plenty strong. I've had mine lowered at least a year w/ no problems even holds proper alignment.
Currituckf150, I would like to see pictures of your truck on the DJM suspension! I'm currenly looking into this mod down the road. How would you raet the quality of their parts?
Just cut the front springs, I've been riding like that for...forever, and my tires don't even wear strange. I also flipped the rear with a DJM bracket. Make sure you get GOOD FRIGGIN SHOCKS when you do it, or you may just hate it.
