I've been running into a lean code for some time now. I've replaced the intake gaskets, the pcv valve, the o2 sensor, the catalytic converter, the fuel filter, the fuel pump, the plugs, the wires, the exhaust manifold gasket, the fuel injector orings, cleaned the injectors by hand, they looked clean, replaced the MAF sensor with a new looking one, and replaced the timing belt. Oh, and the coil packs are new. I did all of this not to fix the lean condition, but to fix a stumbling at low RPMs under load, the last fix was the MAF sensor, and it helped the most, but ever since, I've been getting this lean condition. I've sprayed starter fluid everywhere under the engine bay, and the only place I get a slight increase in RPMs at, is directly spraying the PCV valve. I'm thinking maybe the grommet is not sealing properly, or there's a small hole in the hose. This should not be happening correct? Where can i get the new grommet and hose? Do you think this is a likely candidate?

I can't say for sure that it's the cause of your lean code, but there seems to be enough information to suspect a problem there, and you have to rule out all possibilities, in any case.
FWIW, I only use Ford PCV valves on my Fords because I have found (and have been told by many others, as well) that they just fit better.
so i called the dealer about the parts, apparently they don't carry the grommet or the hose anymore, it's discontinued. So, I cleaned the grommet, as it was oily, but looked fine, and the hose looked fine, and I bought a new PCV valve, one without the capped fitting, and put it back together, it doesn't seem to leak now, and I haven't got the code back yet; it's been about a full day, maybe 60 miles: Crossing my fingers.
