Mazda V-8 Swap
Mazda V-8 Swap
Does anyone know any thing about swaping a V8 into a 86-92 Mazda B-Series truck. Ive got three of these trucks and they are strong as far as the fully boxed frame. they just need a big inch small block
should be the same as adding a sb to a courier/ranger I know theses years are a little different as mazda did there own design for a while but I would start with a ranger sb swap to get you heading in the good direction
The early B series trucks have nothing in common with any ford. I do think460429_freak is right about the very eary trucks but I think they parted ways sometime in the very early 80s and wound up together again in 94 I hand a 1990 4x4 B2600i it was a great little truck with crazy good factory skid plates but it shared nothing with any ford, had a removable carrier rear diff and a arm IFS it was similar to toyotas of the eara but not the same. I would say a small block would fit if you wanted to do the work. If I remeber right my 5spd was also used in a Toyota and an small block ford adapter was avalible, but I don't know about the 2wds.
