You guys are missing the point. There are MILLIONS of F150s and there are nowhere near that many users of all the F150 forums combined. You will always hear about these things more in an online forum but what percentage of the total of affected vehicles have this problem? I would be willing to bet a lot less than the percentage of Toyotas with the frame corrosion issue.

Unfortunately, I think you are missing the point. You see, the point is that if an issue comes up with Toyotas there are many people on this forum that change the subject to past problems with Fords. Hang around awhile and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Yeah, I know what you mean. That is the case on almost every forum I visit. I think it's part of the grass is greener mindset. All auto manufacturers have problems. A motor vehicle is far more complex than people realize and it's only going to get more complex. The difference is how they deal with it. Japanese auto manufacturers are notorious for not issuing recalls when they should have. At least American manufacturers are willing to recall when it's appropriate. This issue with the Toyota trucks is undoubtedly a massive recall that they are trying to slide under the rug. Some people are so gullible.

The think of it is that the media say not said a word about this at all. I did not know about this until yesterday when we were having a executive chapter meeting...
Like I stated in the other thread already started about 2 hours before this one..I called a few of those owners up and they had not heard anything until I said something
I do plan on doing more pics and getting ahold of the media...I think toyota is doing the right thing in a sence...But it also needs to be out there in the news exposed

Sean has been all over this story. He posted it first in "Ford vs the competition."
I re-posted it here because I thought more people would see it, and it is an important story.

Sorry man, I couldn't resist.
That and I wanted to try out my new version of photoshop.....
I took pics of a Toy p/u last year with bad frame. Looks like the truck broke in the middle. Just passed NYS Inspection too. Lots of vehicles have the frame rust problems 79-91 crown vics and grand marquis for an example.
