transmission swap
Hi i have a 1991 ford f150 transmission 2wd with OD and a 1990 f150 transmission 4x4 with OD will the tail stock off the 1990 transmission fit on the 1991 transmission.

My only rebuild experience with an AOD has the output shaft controlling the length of the tail housing. In other words, if the tail housings are different, so are the output shafts, which would involve taking apart the whole transmission to swap them, even if otherwise it could be done.
