what is the box on the drivers side of my motor bay right next to my battery that has emission hose run to my throttle body. by te way how do i add pics on a mac to my post.
i dont think its a carbon can cause its a box shape and it has a hose that runs to my throttle body not my air pump and another hose that runs off somewhere towards the back of the motor. im clueless as to what it is maybe it is a carbon can. in either case can i just plug my throttle body and remove the box cause it dont run to any vacuum or nothin.
It's the carbon can or charcoal canister, whichever you want to call it. The vent lines from the gas tank(s) run to this box, then the vapors are purged and burned in the engine through that line connected to the throttle body (which should be manifold vacuum). Is there a reason you want to remove it?
The only box with a hose going to the throttle body I can think of, albiet a large hose, going to a square black box next to the battery is the air filter housing. The smaller hose is the crankcase breather.
