My friend and fellow CV user (That drink would be orange Kool-Aid) of course, the 80-91 FOMOCO fullsize front clip (CV, Grand Marquis, Lincoln Towncar) is to wide for an F-1. I have right at 18k on my 88 CV/55 Ford F100 Hybrid. A friend and his dad in West TN did it for me. IF I can help you in anyway with "recycling" some of those precious CV parts on your F1 let me know. See my first two galleries for pics. Thanks Donald
FWIW, there's a 1989 Mitchell dimensions book on Epay. It'll give specific lengths between points anywhere on your car. It'll give ya all the info you need to figure out how to do the frame swap. It's only like $10.00, too. As a finder's fee, I'll gladly take the running flattie.
Gents, you have all almost convinced me to sell off the Vic for Flattie parts. Short of a teardown on the Flathead to check for cracks, what can I do apart from a compression check to look at the health of the flathead? Any ideas on the cost for a rebuild/stroke of the flathead (more power is always good)
I see some A/C parts out there...but is anyone actually running it?
I just need to find a Jag front to trade the Vicky off for
Hey man, someone on here had a Jag IFS for sale recently? I think he was in TX too?? I wasnt paying attention to the fact you have a F1 instead of an F100? DUH! the CV is definately too wide for the F1. Sorry! Keep us posted!!!
See I was looking for that very thread for 9299Fords. (1950 Ford pickup thread) I couldn't find it under the new IBsearch. Atleast I wasn't imagining things, lol.
