Rough Drive Home From Work This Morning.

If you happen to be running eastbound along the 401 this morning just west of Cedar Creek near Ayr, Ontario, and you spot some F150 grille bits scattered amongst deer shrapnel, that would be from my ride. So much for original paint.

Soon as I get her back from the body shop she's getting a grille guard.

Sorry to hear this news. I heard there was a problem when I was waking up to 570 News Talk at 6:00 a.m. this morning. ~ Bugjr ~

My incident happened around 3, though there may still have been deer and F150 debris on the road. I'm going to head out later tonight in the Windstar and see if I can find my front plate.

Have you had it looked at by an appraiser yet? If you're lucky, it might be only cosmetic damage in which case, you could probably negotiate a cash settlement and use the money to dress up the front end anyway you like. I assuem you weren't hurt because you didn't mention this.

Waiting for a call from the adjuster. If he can't come by today I'll drop it at Frieburger's in Waterloo and they can deal with him. Was thinking about switching to the FX2 or Harley head lights. I actually like the look of the stock honeycomb grille. Think once I get her back I'll add a full grille guard.

I was surprised, given the size of the animal and force of the impact, I felt almost nothing inside the truck. Very glad I wasn't driving my '01 Windstar.

Never too early to joke about it. I made the first about twenty minutes after it happened.

And that's not blood in the first pic, it's the reflection of the sign at the Short Stop.
