cooler

thinking of adding trans cooler.2005 4.2 .any suggestions on plumbing mounting size of lines etc.pulling 3000 lbs.thanks in advance for any replies.

Just follow the manufactures directions, simple job.

Because you live in Michigan, you should consider a cooler with a t-stat to prevent over-cooling during the winter.

thermo stat? which manufactures offer one.

Welcome to ATI Performance Products.com offers a t-stat for $27.54; I'm sure there are others. "Tru-Cool" coolers supposedly limit fluid flow when cold; I have no idea how well they work during winter.

One tip from past experience: If the kit you buy has nylon posts that go thru the radiator & condenser to mount the cooler, DON'T use them! Mount the cooler with brackets instead.
