Might want to purchase a FORD Service manual on DVD from eBay. That is what I did...and use it all the time.

OBTW: They are not usually expensive...either.

Hope this helps...

1. Loosen the bolts
2. Remove the bolts you just loosened.
3. Remove the part that was being held by the bolts you just removed.
4. Continue this procedure until there are no bolts left to loosen.

You should be staring at a pile of parts.

Next offer a friend a cold one and have him look at your pile of parts then have him invite some of his friends maybe one of them will have a service manual for the motor. If not at least you will have a good party.

Thats a kind idea... but I'am looking for information containing torque ratings for the cylinder head and the bolting sequence

You're tearing apart. What do you need torque ratings for? As far as sequence goes on the head bolts, start on the outside and work you way in. But then again, you're tearing apart so that really doesn't matter all that much either.

If you don't know how to tear apart an engine, maybe you shouldn't do it. It can't be taught over the internet.

I need the torque ratings for when I put it together I'am trying to get the information before I actually get to that point and wonder what they are... which would lead to another day wasted on the build.

I noticed you were from canada which corner?

I also forgot to ask about the intake torque ratings, you wouldn't happen to know would yea

Check out Seah Hyland Motorsports. He was one of the pioneers to first start hot rodding the modular engines. He has published a couple of books that are worth looking at. Although his book concentrates on the 4.6 and 5.4, torque values, and sequenses are all in there. You should be able to figure out the slight differences for the extra main cap, head bolts.

SHM in recent years has earned a bit of a bad reputation for customer service, and quality has suffered as he's gotten bigger. I don't recommend using them for anything, except the $20 bucks or so it'll cost to buy his book.

I'm in Alberta just outside of Edmonton.

No, you don't just start from the middle and work your way out. There is a specific bolt pattern that you need to follow. I don't know what it is but if you search it on yahoo or google I'm sure you'll find it. Try searching on this site. I'm sure your not the first person to need this question answered.
