I went to A u pull and pay today and found me a bunch of things cheap, but one thing I got was a different interior light the one above the seats. Its chrome with a middle light for opening the door and its also got two others one the ends with a switch to turn off and on. I have all 3 screws in to make it work but on either light I put in the two on the sides don't work when you flip the switches. So its got to be the wiring some way. Anyone know what I can do to get them to work?
You are trying to get the map lights to work. They are fed by a separate hot wire(lightgreen/yellow fed from fuse #7) in the harness. You must not have this wire

So the map lights are on a different fuse from the dome light? if thats what im getting maybe I dont have a fuse in it...When I had the dome/map out I had 3 screws to hook it all up I guess 1 screw was the ground as it went just into the metal and two others that went into some wire. Ill try to get the colors but in total there are two wires and one ground.
I got the problem fixed. The problem was with a connection down by the cab corner, where the seat belt buzzer wire come together the wire for the map lights was all corroded. I went and rewired it in that spot and now they work. Thanks for the help everyone!
