1953/55 is the same, 1956 is totally different because of the cab.
1956's have a wrap-around front windshield that uses a different wiper motor, blades, arms, pivots and linkage than 1953/55's use.

The F150 was introduced in 1975.
F1 = 1948 thru 1952.
F100 = 1953 thru 1983.
F150 = 1975 to date.
