Hey guys. I have an issue here with a box on the side of my steering column. The can't paste a photo in for whatever reason. I'll add it to my gallery. I did believe that it was an overdrive but now I'm not so sure. I don't see an overdrive unit on my drive train anywhere. The lever is spring loaded and I can't see where any of the wiring is coming from or going to.
I also have this in the Washington Chapter forum.
It is a very old - perhaps original to the '60s - brake controller too! Notice the hydraulic connection, just like the ones used up into the middle '90s.
At the master cylinder there is a tee where that one brake line connects. Remove and plug or remove tee fitting and screw regular brake line abck into M/C. Bleed brakes. Wires run to power that goes to the trailer wiring.Trace and remove or cut and tape.
John, that's hillarious. Number Dummy, you have to see the humor in that. You are the MAN with the info and it seems that most threads would not be complete without your input. Steve
Been waiting for a member to respond, in my numerous salvage shopping trips never came across it.
