Super easy, pull out the glove box and its right behind there, just have to pull of a few othe pieces of plastic but as far as heater cores go the old ford one is very easy, took me way longer when i had to do it on my old 99 dodge junker, trucks without airbags are way easier though.

The heater core in the '80 - '86 F trucks and Broncos are about some of the easiest there are. You can either go in from behind the glove box (didn't take that route myself), or you can detach the box around the heater core from the engine bay. There might be one bolt you have to undo from the inside. All in all, a piece of cake compared to some of the newer cars.
