That or put an AARP sticker in the back window. That way they know you're dangerous on the road.

Domed, as in chrome domed = someone's bald head, right?

Yeah Dennis I feel the same way about someone pulling your leg. And it's probably not the only thing he's pulling when you post some of the brochures you got

My 73' 2wd pulled badly to the left. and it would pull when holding still also. It started after I changed the PS line, and I am certain that I must have got some dirt in the system, damaged something in the control valve. Maybe you are having a similar problem. I looked at a couple parts stores, and could only find complete power steering gears, and not just the control valve.

Maybe call Dionne Warwick's psychic hotline?

Seriously, SCS, give us a hand here. Go out and jack the thing up, rattle the front end around and see what's loose. There's too many things that can cause what you are talking about to just guess at it.

You left yourself wide open with this comment, kiddo.

But, I'm letting you off the hook...this time...

Waltz out to your truck with a flashlight, crawl under...look at the ends of the tie rods where they attach to the spindles. On those tie rod ends are ball joints with a threaded stud end.

What happens is, the ball joints in those rods wear out, that causes the round hole where the joint is attached, to elongate (open up) and then the stud just flops around.

Also look at the ball joint stud(s) on the draglink, and see if there's another one on the Pitman Arm, which attaches from the steering box sector shaft to the draglink.

There's a rubber dust boot on those ends, and when they wear, the boot is the FIRST thing to go = it falls off. Now the joint is exposed to the elements.

It takes only ONE bad joint to cause the issues you're having.

The joint comes only as part of the tie rod, draglink, or Pitman Arm (if applicable).

They are not replaceable separately.

What the he!! do you care whether I sleep..or not..that's not the issue here.

Discovering what's wrong with your truck IS the issue.

MEMO to Dennis: Do you have pics similar to Illustration Section 30 / Pages 4 and/or 5?

Mebbe you could post them for Mr. S. C. Speacial, so he can see exactly what the whole tamale looks like.

These illustrations show the ENTIRE steering linkage system.

Tie rod ends (3A130), spindles (3105/6), axles (3005/6), front coils (5310), kingpins (3111), draglink (3304), Pitman Arm (3590), radius rods (3A360) and bushings (3B203) = the whole shi*tery.

You're still gonna have to get out there and rack that front end around - you got about an hour of light - go for it!
