74 w/ fuel door?

my recently-acquired sc is a confirmed '74 model, but has a fuel filler door (square hinged cover)....info i've seen puts this feature beginning '77.....maybe the bed was replaced?

Probably the bed was replaced like you said. Or someone welded in a section of bed with fuel door.

My 74 has a fuel door...

that's because I cut and welded it in.

Either the bed was replaced (most likely) or they fabricated like mine.
