4r100 fluid flush
i did the mark kovalsky method of fluid change. few questions. BTW the method was very impressive! what keeps the new fluid from mixing with the old when your pumping it out? i noticed when i got around the 13-15 quart range, it started to get a little more new looking. is the pump in the cooler? just a little curious.

The pump is in the front of the trans, right behind the torque converter. There actually is a small amount of mixing in the torque converter, that's why you use a bit more fluid than the actual capacity of the trans.
