Something fishy going on here.....

I can't see my posts (with pictures) in the "show em off" thread and it shows new posts after mine but I can't see them either.

Anyone else having this problem?

Me too. As soon as you put a link to some pics, the post disappears!

Your post is gone too!

I don't know how to do that anyway, I gave up.

My complaint is when you get an email that says "so and so" has replied to a thread you have subscribed to in the "such and such" section of the forums boards, you click the link and it takes you just to the list of forums, not the post.

It always takes me straight to the post. Maybe you aren't holding your tongue right. Are you clicking on the first link under the message?

I strongly suspect a problem with the site's cookies. Next time you think you're experiencing a problem or weirdness with the site, try logging out & then re-logging in and see if the problem has gone away or not; logging out clears out the site's cookies, logging in re-initializes 'em.

I leave all my computers running and one of 'em remains connected to this forum for months at a time. Before the recent upgrade, I've noticed that things sometimes weird out after a week or so, the problem used to manifest itself by the site getting confused as to which threads I've already read, which posts in any given thread are "new," stuff like that. Clearing out & re-initializing the cookies fixes the problem for another week or so. I don't yet have enough experience with this upgraded site to know how it behaves or how buggy it might be now.

Chris, you're killin' me.....

I've been an IT systems engineering for over 10 years now. The first thing I did was to clear the cookies, and already tried the logging in and out thing. No go.

Something is going on with the [img] tag. I've already emailed and received a response from the site admins.

They are looking into it.
