Im planning on changing my spark plugs.. hopefully pickup some lost gas mileage.
Any recomindations on spark plugs?
Also, I've read people having problems with removing their spark plugs on their 5.4L.. should I have any problems like that (or any problems at all) when I change mine?
Best I've found are the Autolite HT1, might also think about ordering special from Rotunda #303-1203 along with some AeroKroil, you may not need it but if you get a plug the sucks, you'll be thankful of that expensive little tool. Good Luck and please keep us posted.
Go with the best design, motorcraft-ford f-ed these up from the get go, they usually do a good job fixing something they f-ed up on the engineer side. It's all a matter of opinion when it comes down to it......
if champion made a 1 piece why would anyone not use that????? just changed my plugs... breaking two of them, but now will probably pull them out with 2000 miles on them and swap them out for champions. plan on keeping the truck for a while, don't want issues down the road
I got all mine out without breaking any, but why would I want to put myself through that stress again? It will be one piece plugs for my 5.4 from now on. Russ
