vin code stamps
Hey guys I have a 1979 f250 4x4 with a 351m and a c6 tranny. Does anyone know where the vin is stamped on the engine and tranny? I'd like to locate them to see if everything is original. If so I might do a total restoration on her. Thanks

They stopping doing that back in about 1970-
The engines have casting codes
the transmission have ID Tags
The Truck frame is stamped on the passenger side frame rail, between the firewall and rad support ..and again under the cab same side
There is a buck tag riveted to the top of firewall and hung by some wire between the cab and box under the truck

the bottom line is blank but in the lower right corner it has fo110 and to923
the door plate shows wb 133"
