When going over bumps in the road, I notice on the drivers side front a light rattling noise. Maybe a loose shock or strut? I don't know. Only hear on driver side front tire though. Any ideas?
I had a knock in my 2000 Excursion. We found a loose bolt in the front right sway bar bushing mount and the right rear lower shock mount was also loose and needed tightening.
I took it in and they didn't find anything loose. I'm thinking it may be the alignement I'm hearing. Is this possible? Truck is pulling to the left a little so maybe I need to re-align.
Did they check the ball joints? Some times its hard due to the rubber cover that they stockers have on them? I need to climb under mine this weekend and look Just being lazy..
I have also heard that this noise can come from the body mounts? I would love to know how this could cause such a noise?
I have accepted it for the time being until i start replacing the suspension and all bushings with the Energy hyperflex system. I just hope i can make it until then!!!
Nope mine pulls straight and true. I did replace the ball joints a month ago. My noise is from the passenger side right down by the floor pan. Buggin the crap out of me cause I cant find the source
