Donuts

I've got the turbo out thanks to captain Kirk installing the "Starship Enterprise" as Kawa calls it. I am going to replace the donuts on the up pipes while I've got it all apart. Any suggestions as to what the best method to do this is? Any suggestions welcome.

Where are the donuts located and how would one know if theirs were bad?

They are on the turbo inlet Y, and when they leak you loose boost, have a nice diesel exhaust aroma in the cab when your heater is on, and you can see the soot build up when you look up the fire wall on your up pipes.

thats the way mine is. they blow out do to pure horsepower. c00nhunterjoe would know but hes outta town this week. i took my truck to his house since he lives up the road and he said i need new donuts

I think you get new manifold bolts in the kit, so just cut the ones on the manifold and save the trouble. After those are loose, most of the time, the pipes slide out of the Y manifold. If not, lots of penatrating lube. Other than that, it's pretty straight forward.
