<TABLE width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top>I have a 99 250 V-10 (over 170k miles, Auto, ExCab, SWB, 4x4 w/33x15.5 ATX's) w/ the ebay Y conversion but, because most of my studs are rusted/broke I really can't hear any flutter. I'm in the process of removing the studs. I was wandering if I could use the $200 Ebay headers, the only problem is mine has the EGR bung in the factory set. Could I change the ECM w/ a truck that didn't come w/ one & also get a EGR blockoff plate. I live in a non emission test county.

You can drill a hole in one of the tubes on the ebay headers and have an EGR bung welded on so you have a place to hook up the EGR. A machine shop could make the EGR bung or you could try and find something aftermarket. Another option is to elinate EGR altogether and use a custom tune from an SCT dealer to handle the computer end. I think welding in a bung would be cheapy and easier to do.
i have the same truck as you redipsweb....i bought the ebay y tube, and ss headers...they welded the egr bung no problem at all....but i must tell you.. i regret doin the headers...i hate the sound sooooo much....i have headers, y pipe, duel super 44 flowmaster and it sounds like a 4cyl mail truck...i should have left the stock manifolds, y pipe and my old 40 series flowmaster, thats when it sounded the best and had the most compliments...take my advice dude!!!!

The Y-pipe makes the truck sound louder and have more tone. The headers are what changed the sound. After installing my Thorley headers/ypipe I went with an FM70 muffler and went back to a single 3" pipe in the stock location to quiet it down and make it sound better. The FM70 sounds good and gives it some rumble but its not loud at all.
sounds like im going to get the 70 series like you did to replace my supper 44...i dont mind the noise around town..but highway is very annoying.. cant here on cell phone or nothing

The FM70 will quiet the truck down a lot and kill any drone. I actually modified my FM70 to give it a tad more sound. Someday I will get a video up.
Whats your exhaust configuration, 3" single stock exit?
