This cam has a lobe seperation angle of 110 degrees, it's not compatable with the stock EFI system in the Bronco.

Not to steal a thread here but what is the range a cam should be in for a 302 sd system?

In general the cam needs 114 degrees lobe seperation angle or greater and less than 216deg intake duration @ 0.050". Some cams with much shorter intake duration(208 degrees and below) and 112 LSA are also know to be stable. Cam lift doesn't seem to make much effect.

Couple of things, no one asked or hit on, was your engine a 5.0 HO? if it was then you need a 5.8 cam. the fire order is different. Or are you sure it was a 5.0 & not a 5.8 to start with? or vice versa? Ya you can try changing the fire order, but one way or the other the PCM that holds the injector fire order isnt going to deliver fuel at the right time, to the corect cylinder. OR you do have a 5.0 & the cam in the box was for a 5.8 (miss boxed) My 2 cents.

with sd. the injectors are batch fired not sequential so it doesnt matter what cam is in there as long as the plug wires are matching that firing order.

if this was a stang or MAF already then injector order would need to match

Then if what you said is true, then why when I worked at "Genesee Ford Truck" and customers complaned about the rough idle a 5.0 HO had, we'd change out the cam for a stock 5.0 cam AND change the PCM? and it was a pain casue we had to set the parameters & flash the PCM. A Ford delaership having all kinds of info at there finger tips, if they knew you could use the same PCM, why change it? At a dealership time is money. Just my dealings with this. I'm not sayin I know it all, just what we had to do when changing a cam at a dealership. info is info.

mid 80's thru late 90's and trucks & bronco's. Genesee Ford Truck just sold & serviced Ford trucks vans PDV's and F series all the way thru simi's. (LTL & CTL) + Cat Cummings & fright shakers. also delt with eaton & splicer & rockwell trans & rear ends. the only mustang that came thru the shop was when George Sharp bought a stang for his dauters sweet 16 B day. that ended up going to a "car" dealership for service.
