We priced it out when we moved to Christina Lake from Hinton. Anywhere from $2500 - $4000. It still cost about $2000 for a big uhaul and trailer.

There's lots of Toyota 4x4's because they are the ultimate trail truck. Tough, fit into places a full-size won't, can carry all your camping gear, you can sleep in the back, awesome aftermarket support, good on gas. I'm an ex-Toyota 4x4 owner; I enjoyed exploring BC with it.

Anyways, back on topic (haha), I just bought this for my truck (won the eBay auction this morning). Not my pic; it's the seller's pic.

I would rather have a Mazda 2600i 4x4 over a Yota any day. Go all the same places, rig em up with pretty much the same gear as a yota (but cost 1/2 the price), and well it says Mazda not Yota.... Oh and the Mazda engine will out last a Yota engine... I aint seen a Yota with over 1 million K, and I have seen many Mazda B trucks with a million plus.

My truck can carry all my camping gear and a couple elk easy.
I have lots of room to sleep in the back of my cab and it's not even a 4 door.
I can get anything aftermarket I want for my truck.
My truck has dual gas tanks, may not have the same mpg, but way more power.
I'd say my drivetrain is way tougher than a yota.

I've driven in yota 4x4's and they cramp my up, even though I'm only 5'9". It's like sitting in a small car.

But anyways, it's just a matter of opinion and personal preference, and I'm '73-79 Ford trucks all the way. haha

But on the topic of working on, I got my blinkers working and took the taillights off my bumper and mounted them to my temporary box.

Gonna change the oil in the truck today.
Replace the pinion seal on Friday.
I have a couple lense cover's to silicone on the camper as well.
Picked up a spare tire for the trailer and the truck yesterday.

refinished the nerf bars for the truck. Ground all the rust off then used that rust check and sprayed them with that rubberized rocker panel spray. Looks pretty good.Put them back on today.
