the 351m uses a dry intake. the thermostat housing bolts to the block instead of the manifold. the oil sending unit is located near the rear of the engine mounted about center of the intake manifold. the "m" has a cast in timing cover extention with a flat steel plate that covers the timing gear and chain. the rocker covers are wide when viewed from the the fender looking across engine bay.
