Pickup only runs when its cold

Pickup only runs when its cold
Well for some reason my pickup will run great until it warms up then when it warms up it sputters out. When it warms up I can only give it so much gas before it will act like its running out of fuel. My auto teacher said its a fuel pump and then my dad said it could be in the ignition system? What do you guys think. The pickup is a 92 F-150 with a 89 300 in it.

did those have carb or fuel injector?
My truck do same thing but it have carb. We are replace that tomorrow hope it help.
Today was worse because it was very warm 60oF so it got long time to start then see blue with gray smoke it run around 300 rpm but couldn't push gas it would shake so much then finally rev to 1,000 rpm then drive it.
2 times when I put my truck in auto shop for check thing and haul junk. My teacher ask me why can't I moving truck now. I told his I am wait for cool down he say no time so fine he knew what I mean when he saw me try start then heard engine stupper for several sec and see smoke out muffler.
He check carb it junk now. Lucky he have new one which is exact carb. Hope it help run better now.
