Scheduled Maintenance List
How often (miles) do you do your:
1) Oil Changes
2) Fuel Filter
3) Air Filter (depends on cleanliness?)
4) Auto Trans
5) Differential
6) Coolant
7) Grease (where and how)
8) What am I forgetting?
Got any links?
Any other preventative maintenance tips appreciated.
Thanks.

I do this
1) Oil Changes 5,000 using regular 15w-40
2) Fuel Filter 15,000 (cheapest price RACOR - FUEL FILTER ('99-'03 FORD 7.3L)-Dodge Cummins and Ford Power Stroke Diesel Truck Accessories - Geno's Garage )
3) Air Filter (depends on cleanliness?) Depends on cleanliness (I've got a different filter. I'm sure you'll hear about the 6637)
4) Auto Trans 50 - 60k (on the work trucks since mines a stick)
5) Differential Synthetic every 100k
6) Coolant Gold colored every 100K if you have green either switch or buy the SCT test strips and use additive when needed.
7) Grease (where and how) Very few places. All up front and related to steering. Inspect your ball joints. If they have been replaced with aftermarket ones you may have grease fittings there.
8) What am I forgetting? I like to flush my power steering and brake fluid every 100k as well.
Feel free to ask as many other questions as you'd like. Spend some time reading these threads. There's a lot of knowledge to be had here.
9. Check front Hub & Bearing assemblies @ 50K - grease needle bearings, replace o-rings (X2)
10. Transfer case - drain & fill with ATF @ 60K (esp if you use 4X4 a lot)
11. When doing #9 - check the ball joints & axle/knuckle seals - you're 1/2 way there already at this point.
12. New Serpentine belt @ 55-60K - cheap insurance especially if you drive a lot of hwy miles or, tow - stow the old one under the seat for emergency use.
13. Add on for 12 - if you have the 'upper' hose that goes through the belt - buy an upper hose for the dual Alternator trucks that goes around the belt. Then (from experience) you won't be fumbling w/ a radiator hose in the middle of nowhere while putting a belt on @ 2am. Which is also another reason to do #12 sooner rather than later.
14. Glow Plug Relay & CPS - always carry a spare & the req'd tools - under the seat w/ the 'spare' belt. Both have the Nasty habit of quitting at the worst time - again experience speaking here.
