Thanks Jerm... I left ya some reputation points. And, did those 957's come yet?
You're welcome Kris. I just know how you are, and that's honest.
Ahhh...the 957's. In short, no. The story goes like this. The place I originally ordered them from called me back and said they were on backorder from Moto Metal for 10-12 weeks. So I callled about 12 different places that sold them and found one that said they had two sets of the machined & black in stock and I ordered them. What arrived was the full matte black version, which I did not want. When I called, the salesman didn't know what happened but did some checking and their computer changed the number automatically, and it turned out they didn't have any sets of the machined/black in stock at all. I sent the flat black ones back for a refund.
I could have ordered a set from eBay, but they already had Dick Cepek's Mud Countrys mounted on them. A buddy of mine has those tires and they are have more road noise than what I wanted, plus I already had tires waiting for me at the local tire store. I could have made it work, by ordering the tire/wheel combo and then selling the DC's, but I didn't want the hassle. Instead, I just had the new Toyo's mounted on my current 951's and ordered some new center caps for them.
When the 957's eventually come off back order, I may look into getting them at that time. I actually found a local shop around here that sells them and their prices are just as good as what I can find online, plus I wouldn't have to pay shipping.
I'm kind of bummed about it, since I had someone ready to buy my 951's and was looking forward to a different look. There's bigger things for me to worry about though, so I'll just see what happens in the future.
The wet weather traction is better than it was, that's for sure. For some reason though, my rear tires have trouble keeping traction with the road when it's wet. I think I'm going to have to look into that.

You didn't think I was really serious about that comment, did you? Back on on topic...at this time, one week from today, I'll be on the road toward TN. Looking forward to being there.
