I'd do hand stands for a '79 460 powered F250 4X4, but I don't have the time to take on another restoration. I'm neck deep in a '71 Scout right now...
Totally off topic: highboy, did you see the article in the January 2008 Dieselpower magazine? It was very good.

I would buy a 6.0. . . if I had endless money because they are wicked fun to play with. You just have to have the pocket book to pay for the parts. But I would never get rid of my 7.3 for a 6.0. I can have plenty of power, and the reliability that the 6.0 doesn't have. I don't need to go into all the reasons. . . because you already know. But thats my answer.

You'll NEVER find that much truck for that price. The Engine & tranny are fresh (like 30k miles).
Yeah, but what would it cost to make it a 4x4.....that 2WD killed it for me!!! It's the color combo my gf wants (had) too but no here in CO that truck would sit for 4+ months of the year... DANGIT!!

Any PSD is overkill for a little 18' travel trailer, you could pull that with the Scout!

If 04 was an option I would have pick it because as some of you may or may not know I got my good ole 01 X with the 7.3 and I also have a 04 X with the 6.0. So far the only problems with the 04 6.0 is EGR valve and cooler and a I/C boot ripped open. This truck has 48,000 miles on it and it is the one we use to tow our 13,000 lb toy hauler so it hasn't had a easy life that being said I only mod the 7.3 because I don't want to have to deal with blown head gaskets on the 04.
And thats my .02 cents

I voted no. Aren't 05-07 trucks pretty much the same truck anyways? I haven't heard of any changes in the 6.0s from 05 to 07.

Thats a good motto Megawatt00,

i HaD an 03 F250 7.3 CC SB FX4 32k, that i drove for 6 months, rolled it and sat and waited for another 7.3 to come along with low miles. The one i drive now has 42k, only had 38k when i got it....exact same truck except for color RED then, BLACK now. i had the money and plenty of chances to get a 6.0h, but couldn't bring myself to pay for that JUNK! (IMO) if ford and navistar were suing each other for that piece of crap engine why would i get something neither one of those HUGE corporations wanted to deal with. if you play with matches your bound to get burned...

Yeah i voted NO!!!
