carb question...

hey guys... seems like the carb forum is pretty dead so maybe someone in here could tell me...

my '83 f150, 351w...first real project, is under way. i ordered an edelbrock 600cfm carb, but there's no listing for the ford a/t kickdown attachement. does it come with it as standard equipment?? or will the one off my motorcraft 2150 fit on it??

Some have provisions for the kick down, some don't. It depends on which one you ordered.

holley has adapters I would assume edelbrock does also

If you looked at their site you'd see the Ford A/T kickdown extension rod listed as item #8011

hmmm... i looked and looked, but anywho, i've been told that the one off my motorcraft will work. just going to have to polish it a bit...

There is also a kit for edelbrock carbs it bolts on I got one through checker/kragen when I did the same thing on an 83 with a 351w. Instead of using the extension kit for the kickdown rod I used a kickdown rod for an 390/360 tranny buy the way the carb was a 1406 edlebrock.
