vent window quesiton
Does anyone know if the lock mechanism for the vent window goes throw the glass, or does the glass stop before the rivet? My lock broke off, and I was thinking of jsut drilling out the broken rivet and putting a carriage bolt with a nut on it to keep the vent window closed. But, if the hole for the rivet doesn't go through the glass, then i would have to drill the glass, which sucks.
So, does anyone know if I can just drill out the old rivet and have a hole through the vent window?
I can't afford a new/used one, and I don't really have time to hunt for a junker (I have more serious issues with the beast).
