hello

ok, so my foreman gave me an 86 f250. i didnt really have any plans for it until now. but first, story time. kinda. not really. basically i wanted to have some fun this previous weekend, and instead of taking my scout out i took out this 2wd ford. i told my friend hes gonna be pulling me out all weekend and he was cool, so we went. thrashed the bed to hell, and the doors. im gonna trash the doors and the bed. it'll be a tralier bitch so no worries there on legalities. now, i have always had rigs with solid axles f&r . now, is it hard to do a SAS on this. in my yard i have an old dana300t/c and a scout d44 front. somewhere i might have a t-18 tranny. am i better off trying to mock this up and getting adapters for these to either fit the 300 i have, or maybe a ford SB. or should i just go with junkyard/craigslist parts for the sas

or i might just leave it 2wd and weld the rear. i live in W. WA, and i usually play in tahuya and most of that park is 2wd friendly.

A scout D44 isn't going to fit under a F250.
The scout axle is much shorter than the rear of the F250.

If it's just to beat on, the weld the rear and put some big/good mud tires in the back.

I never said it was going under the rear, but you want equal length axles.
So you'd need a axle from a Full Size truck.

Unless you have money to waste and good fab skills, sounds like you might want to forget about the 4wd conversion.
