I am getting ready to change my front pads for the first time, has anyone tried the cross drilled rotors? I am thinking that for towing they would transfer heat better. Also what is a good source for these?

I sell a few options for brakes, and would recommend going with Stoptech Rotors and Centric pads. Stoptech = powerslot except the Stoptech has a black coating to help prevent rust.
Also, I would highly recommend replacing all of your brakes with the upgraded slotted rotors, especially if you are towing. You dont want to have poor performance out of the rear, in comparison to the extra bite up front.
Just one question do the rear brakes require a special tool to compress the caliper or do they compress?
The rear brakes should be just the same as the fronts, and you will probably have to compress the caliper to get the new pads (with more material) in. I just use a C clamp when I do mine, but I havent done brakes on an f150 yet.
