I have a 2008 Super Duty with satellite navigation (plus audiophile). I tried, but did not like the Brandmotion iPod adapter. Does anybody know if Ford is going to make their Triptunes compatible with the factory navigation? Also, does anybody out there have their iPod integrated with their factory navigation stereo with anything else? At the moment, I'm using the AUX jack, but I'd like to be able to control the iPod with the steering wheel controls.
I'm looking to solve the same problem. I have not tried the Brandmotion adapter. Could you tell me what you didn't like about it?
I just sent back my BrandMotion. While it works, it's not the greatest for a factory navigation unit. When you are in map mode, it does not display the track info in the title bar like it does for radio stations that broadcast that info. Also, it defaults to sort by album, so if you've been listening to a playlist and then shut your truck off for an extended amount of time. The unit will begin playing that last song from the beginning of the track, but instead of playing the next song, it will play the next track of the album. It does not remember that you were shuffling or listening to a playlist. It defaults to shuffle off and play by album. I listen to shuffled playlists when I'm driving around and this was an intolerable quirk for $225. I went back to listening to my iPod through the AUX jack.
I'm waiting for a TripTunes harness that's compatible with the factory navigation unit.
