Good transmission guy?
I need soom work done on my tranmission in my 2001 F250 7.3. Looking for a good local transmission place. I live between wilmington and Jacksonville. Truck will still make it if I need to go a little ways. Thank you for any suggestions.

what are you needing done? take it from me if you have the money a BTS tranny is the way to go it will cost you a little over 4K for the tranny and the TC. I don't know about the cost of a rebiuld but a ford reman will run you about 2K and I went through 3 of those before I ponied up and bought the BTS

this will be my 2nd tranny and 3rd TC. I have 133,000 and hual verry little. Just a bad year for trannys. I can get a Monster Box for 3,659. with everything. I think that this maybe the way to go. did you do anything with your cooler. last time when the dealrship changed the TC I oppted for a new OEM cooler. Just wondering if I should change it and go bigger?

the monster box is a Jasper tranny and thats what I killed 2 of for what it's worth. yes when I got the BTS brian put a 6.0 tranny cooler on the truck now I rarely see over 120* check the 7.3 99-03 forums I stay in there alot and there are some very informative people in there
