I doubt it. The 73-79 trucks had solid axles while 80-86 trucks have TTB. That makes the front crossmember a lot wider which might make for some fitment issues. Also, I believe the frame on the older trucks were narrower than the newer ones again causing issues.
You could sell the headers you've got and get a set of Hedmans for your truck from Summit for $160.
Thanks for the input. BTW, I picked up a parts truck that's the same model and year as yours, except with a C6, to rob the 460 from. What's the scoop on that huge rear axle? Would this have a 205 transfer case or 208? Are the drivetrain parts from this truck worth anything?
The scoop on the axle has something to do with the brakes. It's a load sensing armature that can tell when you have a heavy load and it proportions the rear brakes to work a little harder.
My truck has the T-19 4 speed, BW 1345 transfer case, Sterling 10.25" rear axle and Dana 50 TTB front axle. The drivetrains on these trucks are pretty stout. The c-6 is the best auto tranny out there IMO and the rear axle is outstanding. A lot of folks say that the Twin Traction Beam front axle is poo, but I haven't had any trouble with mine yet.
