I was pulling out a chevy over the weekend with the 79 in my sig when my clutch just went to the floor all the sudden and didnt spring back out. So I hoped out and it looks like I lost all of the linkage inbetween the equalizer tube and the little arm thats sticks out the side of my tranny( I think thats what its called the tube that runs vertically that goes up and connects to the clutch up top.) does anyone have any pics of their clutch linkage??? Or any parts diagrams of the linkage??? I have no idea what parts I need to buy to get it running again. My Haynes doesnt say much at all about the linkages and not a single pic or diagram. All help is appreciated. Thanks boys.
the part numbered 7521 the threaded adjustable piece with the nut is what I've had drop out on me so I welded a nut to the tube so it threads in. and won't get lost. I've made this part out of a 3/8 bolt with a long shank which was ground down to fit the linkage.
cause thats exactly what happened that adjuster fell out...i looked around and found it but couldnt find any other pieces so I didnt know if i needed something to connect it all back together or not....
Sorry to bring this back up. I just cant find the peice I need anywhere and I dont know whats its called. Im pretty sure its just a little L shaped clip that connects the adjuster rod to the bell crank??? But since it fell out in the dark in the field I never found it and dont know what Im looking for.
