Motor mounts, 4.0L ones from your ranger will bolt together with the F150 ones I believe. To make engine mounts use 4-5mm steel, bent and weld...
I usually look for front x-member on j-yard (there are many damaged in accidents x-members with bent lower controll arms) and fit them to it. Much easier to work then on truck on a pit. And when engine mounts and engine fit x-member I put engine into a truck, and then I install tranny do measurments to make tranny x-member.
just look up and buy the ranger v8 swap kit. its what i did and comes with new mounts that just bolt up, new radiator, headers, oil pan, oil pump, and it moves your oil filter so things fit nice all up under the hood

that is where i bought my kit from. kind of pricey for sure but you almost reach that buying individual prices. like i said earlier this kit for the 302 came with
new double sup oil pan, new headers, rubber motor mounts (which i was told buy everyone to make sure to get), new oil pump, new radiator, a system to move your oil filter out of the way.
i got my headers and oil pan chromed and the motor mounts are supposed to just bolt directly up to the truck and the engine no fabrications what so ever.
if that site doesnt work i went to yahoo and searched "V8 ranger conversion kit" and clicked the second choice "car shop 38200......."
