vent window and another question
will the vent window from a 79 model truck fit in a 86 truck and what differance will a aod verses a c4 or c6 be and how well will the aod work when pulling a trailer

By going to ww.lmctruck.com and looking up a 79 vent window glass, and then looking up a 80 vent window glass, they have different part numbers and different prices, so I think we can assume they are different.
And AOD is an overdrive tranny. It has a reputation for being weaker than a c6, and for towing. Some people have good luck with it and they claim the reason they get good life is they never tow in overdrive. When swapping to an AOD, the most important part is getting the throttle cable hooked up correctly.
