CCV catch can.

Here is a catch can I made and returned the vapors back to the air intake. Just have to see if I get any leaks or smoking or oil around my intercooler boots! Dont pay any attention to the wres beside it(gotta refab that bracket)

I did kinda the same thing, but it really doesnt work. I used three different grades of steel wool, and packed tight, it still doesnt work. I didn't redirect mine into the intake, rather i kinda rednecked it a little bit.

you will find out if its not working if you wake up to massive oil spots in your driveway

I have some heating vent filters in mine. I firgure they would be better to trap the oil if they are going too! I thought it would be best for the return line to be on the top. I had put a brass filter fitting on the end of the line before when I had it venting to the air and it was to restrictive and it caused my truck to smoke ALOT instead of blowing any seals. Just have to see what happens!

Looks good, I really like the tig beads around the bolt heads, very nice and steady hand. I like the idea of going back to the intake to suck the fumes and with the trap, hopefully no oil.

Its what I do for a living. Somedays I'm a welder and some days I'm a rod burner! Thanks! I'm gonna tinker with the filters more this weekend. The more I think about how i got them in there the more I think I wanna change my setup.

i bought one of these rather than make one. i haven't installed it yet, been too freaking busy. i can't post an actual picture of it showing the mesh screen, but think of the screen in a screen door, only a lot tighter. they come with different filter elements. finer screen, looser, etc. just screw the bottom off to drain. i have clamps like the above catch can too. once the server straightens out, or whatever it is that is keeping me from posting to my gallery, i'll post some more pics. here's the link to tractor supply where i got it.

That is a good looking, cheap catch can. I might have to try it out.
