Question window tint

Does anyone know the factory tint percent on the side glasses of an 87 Bronco II XLT? I am planning on tinting the door glasses and would like for it to match as close as possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I would imagine about 50%. Limo tint but check your local laws.
In most states it is illeagal to have door glass tinted that dark.
Depending on where you are you maybe able to have it calibrated
at MVA or state police. I woud check with them first.
I had a truck that had some on it and was legal at 35% it was different
colores so I had to take it off.

Limo tint is 5%. The options are 5, 15, 30, 50 some tint manufacturers use 20 and 35 instead of 15 and 30. Most likely your rear windows are about 20 maybe 30. The numbers won't be exactly the same though since the rear windows are not the same as window tint film. Also, there are a couple color choices like smoke, charcoal, etc. If I remember correctly the windows on those older BII's is more of a brownish color. You might want to check with a couple of tint shops to see what brand they use and if what they have is a closer match. You should also consider that most states have tint laws on the front side windows and 30/35 is the limit. Sometimes you can go with 15/20 depending on where you live. There is a company called SnapTint that sells precut quality film 25 bucks for doors and 75 for the whole vehicle. They have different choices for darkness and color. It includes the tools to install it yourself. Window Tinting at SnapTint.com

Again before you throw 50 bucks or so away take
10 minutes to check your local tint laws unless it
is that you have 50 bucks to throw away and if so
I'll give you my address.
